By visiting and/or ordering services, you agree and, where required, consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information as set out in this policy. This policy applies to our website, mobile applications, and WhatsApp communication channels.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in the following ways:

1.1 Website and Mobile Applications

When you visit our website or make an order, you may be asked to provide your name, contact details, physical address, and payment information. We also collect information about your usage of our website and information from messages you post or emails you send to us.

1.2 WhatsApp Communications

When you contact us via WhatsApp (+971 58 540 6989), we collect:

• Your WhatsApp phone number and display name

• The content of your messages, including dietary preferences, health goals, and budget information you choose to share

• Conversation history for the purpose of providing continuity of service

• Metadata such as message timestamps

1.3 Mobile Device Data

By accessing our services via mobile devices, we may collect technical information including location data, device characteristics, IP address, and mobile payment methods.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Your information enables us to:

• Provide access to our services and fulfil your meal plan orders

• Process billing and payments

• Respond to your enquiries via WhatsApp, email, and other channels

• Generate personalised meal plan recommendations using AI-assisted systems

• Administer, support, improve and develop our business

• Conduct statistical and analytical activities

• Prevent fraud

• Contact you with important updates about our services

3. AI-ASSISTED PROCESSING

EatClean ME uses AI-assisted systems to process customer enquiries received via WhatsApp. These systems:

• Analyse your messages to understand your dietary preferences, health goals, and budget

• Generate personalised meal plan recommendations based on your inputs

• Are operated on behalf of EatClean ME by Anthropic PBC (Claude AI), a third-party AI service provider

• Do not make final purchasing or contractual decisions autonomously — all orders require your explicit confirmation

You may request to speak with a human agent at any time by stating this in your WhatsApp message. AI-assisted processing is used solely to improve response speed and quality of recommendations.

4. DATA STORAGE AND PROCESSORS

Your personal data is processed and stored by the following third-party services on our behalf:

• Supabase Inc. — conversation history and contact data, stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union). Supabase complies with GDPR and equivalent data protection standards.

• WATI (Growby Technologies) — WhatsApp Business API platform for message delivery and team inbox management.

• Anthropic PBC — AI processing of WhatsApp messages. Messages are processed in accordance with Anthropic's data processing agreement and privacy policy.

• Shopify Inc. — e-commerce platform for website orders.

• Tabby — payment instalment processing.

All third-party processors are contractually bound to process your data only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

5. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may share your information with:

• Third-party payment processors for billing purposes

• Logistics partners (LogX) for delivery coordination

• Kitchen partners (Basiligo) for meal preparation

• Our CRM provider (Nutribot/ALTCONNECT) for order management

• Any successor entity in the event of a business transfer, merger or acquisition

• Law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law

We will not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

6. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS

Your data may be transferred to and stored in countries outside the UAE, including the European Union (Germany) and the United States. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for all international transfers, including contractual clauses that meet UAE PDPL requirements.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Request correction of inaccurate data

• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal and contractual obligations)

• Object to processing of your data for marketing purposes

• Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect lawfulness of prior processing)

• Opt out of WhatsApp communications by replying STOP

8. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. WhatsApp conversation data is retained for a maximum of 12 months from the date of last interaction, after which it is deleted from our systems.

9. SECURITY

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction or damage. These include encrypted data transmission, secure server storage, and access controls limited to authorised personnel. However, transmission of data via the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Any transmission is at your own risk.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted to eatcleanme.com. Where appropriate, we will notify you by email.
