THE EAT CLEAN CONCEPT
Science on Every Plate
Planning, shopping and cooking balanced meals three times a day is hard work. Eat Clean does it for you: fresh, ready-to-eat meals delivered to your door every morning across the UAE. But our concept is more than convenience. Every dish we cook is built on one simple nutrition formula, so each plate fuels your body, keeps your energy steady and helps nutrients actually absorb.
One Formula, Every Meal
How you combine ingredients matters as much as what you choose. The ratio of protein, carbohydrate, vegetables and fat changes how your body digests, absorbs and uses everything on the plate.

½ plate – Vegetables. Broccoli, grilled vegetables, cucumber tomato salad, spinach.
¼ plate – Protein. Chicken, salmon, beef, shrimp, eggs or plant-based options.
¼ plate – Complex carbohydrate. Sweet potato, brown rice, quinoa, couscous, soba noodles.
A thumb of sauce or healthy fat. Chimichurri, dressings, garlic "mayo".
1. A palm of protein
Keeps you full and supplies the amino acids your body can't make itself.
2. A fist of complex carbs
Fuels muscle and brain without the crash of refined starches.
3. Half a plate of vegetables
Fibre, vitamins and minerals that protein and starch alone can't provide.
4. A thumb of sauce or fat
Helps absorb fat-soluble vitamins and adds herb antioxidants.
Why This Ratio Works
- Steadier energy. Protein and fibre slow digestion, so pairing them with carbohydrates softens the blood-sugar rise a carb would cause on its own.
- Longer satiety. Protein is the most filling macronutrient and triggers the body's fullness hormones more strongly than carbs or fat.
- Full micronutrient coverage. Vegetables supply vitamins, minerals and fibre in amounts protein and starch simply don't.
- Better absorption. Some nutrients are absorbed far better in the company of a partner nutrient – the idea behind our smart pairings below.
Smart Pairings on the Same Fork
Vitamin C + plant iron. Iron from plant foods such as quinoa, lentils and spinach is poorly absorbed on its own. Vitamin C from tomatoes, capsicum or citrus in the same meal markedly increases how much you take up.
Healthy fat + fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamins A, D, E and K – and the beta-carotene that colours sweet potato and carrots – need some fat in the meal to be absorbed. A spoon of dressing isn't just flavour.
Fibre feeds your gut. Broccoli, spinach and grilled vegetables supply fermentable fibre that beneficial gut bacteria turn into short-chain fatty acids, which support a healthy gut lining.
Herb sauces add antioxidants. Parsley, garlic and herb-based sauces like chimichurri contribute polyphenols – a nutritional bonus on top of taste.
Five Balanced Plates from Our Menu
| Plate | What's on it | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| The Iron Booster | Lean Beef Burger Patty · Roasted Sweet Potato · Cucumber Tomato Salad · Garlic "Mayo" | Beef supplies well-absorbed iron and zinc; the salad adds vitamin C; the fat unlocks the sweet potato's beta-carotene. |
| The Omega Recovery Bowl | Honey Garlic Salmon · Cauliflower Rice · Broccoli · Cilantro Lime Dressing | Omega-3s from salmon with a fibre-rich, lower-carb base for a lighter plate. |
| The Lean Classic | Cilantro Lime Chicken · Cilantro Lime Rice · Grilled Veggies · Chimichurri | Lean complete protein, fibre-rich vegetables and a polyphenol-rich herb sauce. |
| The Plant-Forward Plate | Quinoa Cakes · Roasted Root Veggies · Sautéed Spinach · Cilantro Lime Dressing | Quinoa is a rare complete plant protein; spinach adds fibre and iron, helped by the vitamin C in the lime dressing. |
| The Post-Workout Refuel | Chicken Burger Patty · Brown Rice · Grilled Carrots · Peri Peri | Protein plus moderate carbohydrate supports glycogen restocking and muscle recovery after training. |
Breakfast & Snacks Follow the Same Logic

Protein at breakfast. Protein oats and omelettes start the day with amino acids and fibre, for steadier energy than a carb-only breakfast.
Oats for slow energy. Our Bircher muesli oats provide soluble fibre (beta-glucan), linked to healthy cholesterol levels.
Balanced snacking. Energy bites combine nuts (protein, healthy fat) with dried fruit (fibre and natural sugar) for a gentler rise in blood sugar than refined-sugar snacks.
